The Royals were shut out in their series opener against the White Sox. Kansas City lost to Chicago 7-0 in the first game of a three-game set in the Windy City.
The Royals were limited to two hits and went 0-for-2 with runners in scoring position. Starting pitcher Noah Cameron was charged with his sixth loss after allowing six runs through five frames.

The Royals have lost three of four to sit at 67-65 and, with Seattle’s win, find themselves four games out of the final Wild Card spot. They visit the White Sox again tonight.
