Francis “Jake” Edgar McCormac

Funeral services for Francis “Jake” Edgar McCormac will be held Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 @ Yarber Mortuary, Eminence Missouri with start time @ 10:00 AM. Visitation to be held from 6-8 PM the previous night, Randy Fergueson officiating.  Interment will be in New Eminence Cemetery, Eminence

He departed this life on July 3, 2025, at his home in Eminence, Missouri.

Jake was drafted twice to serve in the Army. In this time, he served 2 years and 9 months in both the Korean War and World War II. When he came home from the Army, he finished high school and graduated in 1949. After high school, he worked on the family farm, and also worked for Harvy Staples, J.U. Boyd, and Eminence Lumber Company throughout the years. After his retirement, he enjoyed making turkey calls, powder horns, and knives.

On December 3, 1959, he married the love of his life, Nadene Randolph, and to this union, one son was born on September 24, 1984, John Bryan McCormac. Jake gave his heart to the lord in 1972 and was baptized in Shawnee Creek. He attended church for many years at the Baptist Church, then later went to the Assembly of God, and finally attended the Fellowship Tabernacle church at West Eminence.

Jake is proceeded in death by his parents, Ralph and Goldie McCormac; brother, Ralph Augusta McCormac Jr.; sister, Fern McCormac; father-in-law Loyd Jerome Randolph; mother-in-law, Ruby May Randolph; sister-in-law, Daphine Gay Randolph; brother-in-law, Denver Ray Ard; uncles, Joe McCormac and Wiley McCormac; grandmother, Effie Smith; Great-Grandfather and Grandmother McCormac, and many other relatives.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nadene (Randolph) McCormac; son, John Bryan McCormac; sisters-in-law, Maxene Ard and Ruby Jean (Chrisco) Randolph; brother-in-law, Lee Roy Randolph; niece, Lisa Randolph; and relative, Kathryn Sue (Boyd) Conway.
