Multiple Unrelated Death Investigations Underway in Marion County

YELLVILLE, Ark. — On August 2, 2025, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office released multiple unrelated death investigations over the past two weeks, including a fire scene where suspected human remains were recovered.

Separately, three other deaths in Marion County are also under investigation, all of which are believed to be due to natural causes:

  • On July 24, Wilson Kirk Bressler, 48, of Harrison, was found unresponsive next to his vehicle at the Yellville Post Office. He was a contract mail courier and had reportedly told his wife he felt overheated after work. CPR was in progress when emergency personnel arrived, but Bressler was pronounced dead at the scene.

  • On July 26, Cimmaron Marty-Tyronne Biller, 57, of Yellville, was found deceased in his home on Wolf Lane. A witness said they discovered Biller on the floor while checking in to deliver medication.

  • On July 29, Kathy Colleen Smiley, 62, was found deceased in the bathroom of a residence on 5th Street in Yellville. She also reportedly suffered from significant health issues.

In each of these three cases, investigators processed the scenes and conducted interviews. All individuals had known medical concerns, and the sheriff’s office believes their deaths were due to natural causes. The Marion County Coroner and funeral services responded accordingly, and next of kin have been notified.
