Sharp County’s Inmate Labor Program Supports Public Projects Countywide

ASH FLAT, Ark. – The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly community service report, highlighting inmate work completed throughout the county from October 5–11, 2025.

According to Chief Deputy Kevin “Bart” Simpson, a total of 168 community service hours were worked during the week under the supervision of Coordinator Brian Watson.

Participants assisted with several projects across the county, including Tri County Recycling, the Sharp County Courthouse, Poughkeepsie, and the Sharp County Cemetery.

The community service program allows inmates to pay off fines while giving back to their local communities, providing valuable labor to public facilities and community projects throughout Sharp County.

The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office continues to share weekly updates to keep the public informed of ongoing inmate work programs and community improvement efforts.
