J. N. Deatherage, 82, of Pomona, Missouri, left this walk of life, October 16, 2025. He was born February 25, 1943, to William Abner and Fanny Myrtle (Wallace) Deatherage in Noble, Missouri. He was united in marriage August 1, 1994 to Ann Marie (Ramsey) Deatherage.
J. leaves behind his wife, Ann; brother, Edward Lee Deatherage and sister, Mattie Sue; children, Judith Ann Parton and husband, Jeff, James Kevin Deatherage and wife, Dawn, Debbie Deatherage, William Scott Deatherage and wife, Natalie, Caleb Deatherage; step-children, Donna Barbrow, Jennifer Kargel and husband, Nick; and multiple grandchildren;
J. is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anna Madge; brothers, William Russell Deatherage and Robert Dwayne Deatherage; and step- daughter, Vickie Barbrow.
J. loved his wife, kids and grandkids with all his heart. He loved playing his guitar and writing songs. He loved the challenge of working in his wood shop and could make anything. He had a good since of humor and would always say, “the world needs more humor. “. He’ll surely be remembered for his joke telling abilities. He liked to refurbish old stoves and would make them look new again. He was a very Godly man, a great Christian and fought the good faith until the very end. He will be remembered by many and was loved by all that knew him. He will be missed greatly.
