An outstanding Liberty Eagles Football season came to an end this past Saturday afternoon as they took on the Blair Oaks Falcons in the final four.
1st Quarter: The tip is taken by Blair Oaks as they will play an up-tempo offense, they will start in four down territory after a pass and a loss out of bounds by Kyle Roberts for the Liberty Eagles. Blair Oaks will make it on the board first with five running plays by senior running back, Hayden Lackman.
On the first offensive move for the Eagles, Kyle Roberts makes a great move for 4th and five, still being fought by Blair Oaks. Ball is caught by by Hayden Lackman for Blair Oaks in an attempt to make the next open play on Third and Seven. But this time, The Liberty defensive line is able to get a sack, this by Hayden Oziah for the Liberty Eagles. Blair Oaks will turn over the football on downs.
Blair Oaks continues to keep the football for the next five minutes of the Quarter as they hold the lead 7-0.
2nd Quarter: Lackman for the Blair Oaks Falcons makes the next run in for seven more points to make the Score 14-0.
Eagles make their biggest play of the game so far as Sawyer Morris gets the Football near Blair Oaks territory.
Blair Oaks continues however after this short lived pass and an interception to play clock with yet another run by Lackman. Eagles have made room on defense in the game, but not near enough to contend with Blair Oaks.
HALFTIME- Liberty Eagles: 20/ Blair Oaks Falcons: 0
3rd Quarter: Two runs are scored by Brady Dabkus for The Blair Oaks Falcons as the Liberty defense can now hardly move.
Wyatt Cox for the Eagles nearly makes an interception midway through the quarter but it is blown dead as Liberty is forced to jump off-side.
Quarter ends with the Score, 35-0.
4th Quarter: Dabkus for Blair Oaks scores another touchdown run as they have had no need so far in the ballgame to get anywhere close to first down territory. All plays have varied in yardage. The Liberty defense has had hardly any luck in the second game besides the interception attempt by Cox to get a stop.
Blair Oaks will move on to the Finals in State Football playoffs.
The Liberty Eagles will end an outstanding Football season with a record of 10-3. Blair Oaks continuing record will be 13-0.
The Eagles will begin Basketball season this week as they take on The Couch Indians on Tuesday, 12/2 @ Couch & Thursday 12/4 as they will have their home game facing the Doniphan Dons @ 7:30 PM
Both of these games will be on The Fox 96.9.
