Norman Lee Roche, age 93, passed away on December 5, 2025, at Willow Care Nursing Home, Willow Springs, Missouri. He was born on October 18, 1932, in San Jose, California, to Patrick and Vivian (Whitton) Roche. He was united in marriage to Pernia Katherine Williams on May 10, 1957, in San Jose, California.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Kathy; his parents; his brother, Gerald; and granddaughter, Tessa.
Survivors include his five children, Sandra Lee (Blake) Couch of Oakesdale, WA, John Howard (Lisa) Roche of Spokane, WA, Laura Ann (Steve) Bieker of Jefferson City, MO, Karen Jane Parks of California, MO, and Dennis Wayne Roche (Diana Huff) of West Plains, MO; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Norm loved the Lord, obeying the gospel message at the Los Gatos Christian Church when he was in his 20’s. He served in the Navy, joining in 1950 and serving until 1973. He served during the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring as a CPO Aviation Electrician.
Norm’s home was one of hospitality, where everyone was welcomed. Nieces and nephews, even neighbor children needing a place to stay. Some for a few weeks, months or even a year or more all found sanctuary and a family there. He loved sports and cheering on his favorite teams, but his favorite games were the ones his children and grandchildren played in or he and Kathy coached.
His love for God has kept him pointing those around him to Christ, to serve and follow Him. He was truly loved by all and is dearly missed already.
