Sharp County inmates complete 336 community service hours

ASH FLAT, Ark. — Inmates participating in Sharp County’s community service program completed 336 total hours of work from April 19 through April 25, according to the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Deputy Kevin “Bart” Simpson said the hours were completed through several projects in the Sharp County community under the supervision of Coordinator Brian Watson.

Work was completed at Tri County Recycling, the Sharp County Courthouse, Comfort Keepers Ministries, In the Pines Revival and the Sharp County Road Department.

According to the sheriff’s office, the program is designed to allow inmates to pay off fines while also serving communities throughout Sharp County.
