A Bernie man was injured Wednesday night in a single‑vehicle crash on U.S. 60 west of Winona.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 40‑year‑old driver of a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu suffered a medical emergency around 8:10 p.m. while traveling eastbound, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway. The car struck three trees and two fences before coming to rest in a pasture.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. The vehicle was towed from the scene at the request of the investigating trooper, TPR S.A. Swink.
