Community Unites to Honor Veterans at 3rd Annual Wreaths Across America in Mountain View

VFW Post 3009 and its Auxiliary are joining forces with the Ozark Spring Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Josiah Howell Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution to host the 3rd Annual Wreaths Across America ceremony in Mountain View, Missouri. The event will take place on Saturday, December 13, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

This year’s campaign is not only focused on placing wreaths but also on preserving the stories of the 199 veterans laid to rest at the cemetery. Organizers are seeking help from the community to gather biographical details about each veteran to be shared during the ceremony, livestream, and on the event’s official websites:

“We want to honor each veteran by learning and sharing their story,” said Lois Frazier of the Ozark Spring Chapter. “If you have a loved one or know someone buried there, we encourage you to reach out.”

Requested information includes the veteran’s name and rank, hometown, birth and death dates, branch and years of service, locations served, and any additional personal details. Photos are also welcome, though originals will not be returned.
