Dates Announced for the Old-Time Music, Ozark Heritage Festival

WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The West Plains Council on the Arts announced a new date for the 31st annual Old-Time Music, Ozark Heritage Festival. Traditionally held in June, the festival has moved to October 17 & 18, aiming for cooler weather and an even more vibrant experience.

Celebrating the rich music and culture of the Ozarks Highlands, this beloved event will take place in and around the Civic Center grounds and downtown West Plains. Festival-goers can look forward to traditional music, storytelling, artisan demonstrations and hands-on cultural activities.

 

The Old-Time Music, Ozarks Heritage Festival is a free public event and a cornerstone of cultural life in West Plains.  It is dedicated to celebrating, preserving and passing on old-time music and folk life traditions distinctive to the Ozarks.

 

Organizers express deep gratitude to the many supporters who have sustained the festival over three decades – your participation is why we continue to celebrate.

Festival partners are the West Plains Council on the Arts, the City of West Plains and Missouri State University – West Plains. The festival receives funding from the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
