Drug Arrest in Tecumseh

On the night of September 3, 2025, Ozark County deputies initiated a traffic stop in Tecumseh, Missouri, after observing a vehicle with no front license plate and erratic driving behavior.

The driver, later identified as Jaycob Anderson, fled the scene, leading officers on a pursuit down Smoky Road and into a dead-end mud pit near Stump Hole Access Road.

During the chase, Anderson allegedly threw plastic baggies from the vehicle, which were later recovered and tested positive for approximately 21.4 grams of methamphetamine. After fleeing on foot, Anderson was located and detained along with a passenger.

A search of the vehicle uncovered drug paraphernalia and 14 morphine pills. Anderson reportedly admitted to discarding the methamphetamine. Both individuals were transported to the Ozark County Jail.

Anderson faces multiple charges, including resisting arrest, possession and delivery of controlled substances, unlawful drug paraphernalia possession, careless driving, littering, and driving while revoked.
