EMINENCE, MO- As the Eminence Chamber of Commerce looks ahead to the new year, the commerce is looking at several particular projects outside of the future outlook.
During the year, multiple light poles in the town of Eminence were vandalized. The majority of these light poles were destroyed and since, the project has been in major need of re-assessment.
Following investigations, law enforcement identified several suspects who admitted to vandalizing a limited number of light poles. No public information has been shared since about the punishment of the suspects has been shared since as these suspects were all minors.
While the Eminence community was unable to recover funds for these damages, insurance has promised to assist in covering some of the costs.
At this time, the ongoing repairs to the light poles have halted intended future beautification projects for the town of Eminence as it will take time to clean up debris including shattered glass from the street.
