Marion County Library Hosts Summer Reading Program with Activities for All Ages

The Marion County Library is inviting readers of all ages to take part in its Summer Reading Program, now underway and running through July 31. Participants can join for free by picking up a reading log at the library or by attending any of the library’s scheduled events. Prizes are awarded for every 100 points earned through reading, encouraging the community to stay engaged with books all summer long.

Weekly events include Gaming at 10 a.m. and Crafting at 12 p.m. every Wednesday. Special Summer Reading Program activities include Storytime on July 18 at 10:30 a.m. and an End-of-Summer Reading Party on July 25 at 11 a.m.

The library will be closed on Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day.

Other upcoming events include the Library Board Meeting on Tuesday, July 15 at 6 p.m. and the Book Club gathering on Thursday, July 24 at noon.
