Squires, MO. – Heroes across Douglas County are coming together for a cause that saves lives. Squires first responders are teaming up with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the sole supplier of blood, plasma, and platelets to patients at more than 40 area hospitals, for the third annual Squires Boots, Badges and Bandages Community Blood Drive, taking place on Saturday, September 27.
Donors will receive:
- A voucher for two free admissions to Dickerson Park Zoo ($38 value)
- A limited-edition Boots, Badges and Bandages T-Shirt
- A vote to support their favorite first responder agency in the race for the traveling trophy
The blood drive will take place on Saturday, September 27 at Squires Volunteer Fire Department, 10 HC 2. Drive hours are from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The Boots, Badges, and Bandages Community Challenge Blood Drive is a powerful way for residents to support local patients while honoring the commitment of fire, Sheriff and EMS teams. This friendly competition awards a traveling trophy to the agency with the most donor support. Area leaders are in strong support of this event and have joined with CBCO to voice a unified message intended to save lives.
