Winona Woman Charged After Allegedly Firing Gun at Children

On September 20, 2025, Patricia Camden of Winona was charged with unlawful use of a weapon after allegedly firing a gun at children near her home on 3rd Street.

Police responded to reports that Camden had shot at kids in the street following a confrontation over signs posted in her yard. One child, identified as D.H., claimed Camden cursed at him, threw rocks, and later emerged with a black .22 pistol, firing one shot into the air and another down the road.

Camden denied having a gun, stating she only held a holster. However, a search of her home revealed .22 caliber ammunition, two holsters, and a gun cleaning kit.

Witnesses provided statements and video evidence suggesting Camden previously possessed a pistol matching the description. She was also accused of making threats and posting provocative signs targeting neighborhood children.
