Hartville, Mo. – A two vehicle crash near Hartville on Saturday evening injured one of the drivers. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on Highway 5, one mile south of Hartville at 6:15 p.m. on March 12, 2022.
A 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Dylan Willhite, 26 of Hartville, attempted to overtake a 2000 GMC Sierra, driven by Douglas Moore, 44 of Hartville. Willhite struck the GMC in the rear in the attempt, damaging both vehicles. Moore was not injured in the crash. Willhite suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
