According to a probable cause statement on June 11, 2025, at approximately 1428 hours, West Plains Police responded to the 500 block of Humphries Drive, West Plains, Missouri for a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim stated their vehicle had been stolen around 0246 hours on June 11, 2025. The victim also reported their wallet was inside the vehicle and someone had been attempting to use their debit and credit cards. Several charges were denied, in the amounts of $60.00, $48.70, $48.70, and $500.00.
At approximately 1606 hours, officers responded to the lobby of the West Plains Police Department to speak with individuals that had information about the location of the stolen vehicle and who stole the vehicle. The witnesses stated the vehicle had been stolen last night and drove to the Holiday Inn located at 1301 Preacher Roe Boulevard. The witnesses identified the suspects as a male with the last name Elmore and a female named Angel Huddleston. They reported the suspects were staying at the West Plains Motel. The witness also heard the suspects state they could use the victims identifying information to apply for a loan and that they were going to try and sell the vehicle for $200.00. Officers responded to both Holiday Inn and West Plains Motel.
The vehicle was located at Holiday Inn where the witnesses stated it was. At the West Plains Motel suspects Nathan Elmore and Angel Huddleston were located. Several items belonging to the victim were located in the suspects room to include the victims’ birth certificate, wallet, driver’s license and other miscellaneous documents and items.
Elmore and Huddleston were charged with Stealing a motor vehicle, three counts of theft of property, two counts of fraudulent use of a credit/debit device and theft.
