From the Shannon County Sherriff’s Office:
On April 15, 2025, Robert VanWinkle of Winona, Missouri, was taken into custody by Captain Brumble, Bailiff Hawkins, and I on the following charges:
1. Theft
2. Trespassing
3. Violation of probation conditions, specifically failing a drug test
As of today, May 19, 2025, additional charges have been filed against VanWinkle, including Arson in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony. Bond has been set at $100,000 cash only. Conditions of release, if granted, will include electronic monitoring, a comprehensive mental health evaluation, a strict no-contact order with the victim, and mandatory weekly drug testing.
