Beverly Ann (Coffman) Emery passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, with her family her side at Cox Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
On September 17, 1976, she was united in marriage to her late husband, William “Bill” Emery. Through their union, a beautiful family was formed with children Julie, Laurie, and Johnny. Six years later, Beverly and Bill welcomed their son, Chad.
Beverly was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of Victory Church in Vanzant, Missouri. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. On Thursdays, she loved visiting the Vanzant Community Center to enjoy live music—especially when Robert Upshaw was singing. On Sundays after church, you could find her catching up with her family. Beverly rarely missed this time together.
She began her working life at the shoe factory in Mountain Grove before pursuing her passion by attending beauty school. For the past 30 years, Beverly served as a beloved hairdresser in Vanzant, where many of her clients became like family. She was known for her thoughtful spirit and her special talent for choosing the perfect little gift for loved ones whenever she went shopping. She never missed an opportunity to make someone feel special, and her friends and family will cherish those gifts forever.
Beverly was welcomed into Heaven by her parents; her husband, William “Bill” Emery; her siblings, Sharon Driskell and Steven Coffman; and her daughter, Laurie Emery.
Those who will carry Beverly’s love forward include her children—Johnny Coffman and wife Brittney, Chad Emery and wife Kathy, and Julie Emery; her siblings—David Coffman and wife Brenda, and Brenda Massey and husband Kenny; her ten grandchildren—Candy, Matt, Justin, Danielle, Casey, Mikel, Seth, Christine, Talora, and Emmett; her twenty-four great-grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind a special friend, Robert Upshaw, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Those who knew Beverly will remember a woman who gave from the heart without hesitation. Whether you were family, friend, or someone she had just met in the grocery store aisle, you felt seen by her. She had a way of making everyone feel like they mattered.
To honor Beverly’s wishes, private service with family will be held and a celebration of life will be held at 1:00 on Saturday July 12th at Gentryville church.
