Emery “Otto” Underwood, of Eminence, Missouri, passed away Sunday evening, August 30, 2020, at the age of 81.
He was proceeded in death by his mother, Oma Mae Fears; two brothers, Lonnie Parks and Johnnie Fears.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Carol; three children, Douglas Underwood and wife, Elizabeth, Debra Womack and husband, James, and David Underwood and wife, Victoria; four grandchildren, Steven, Jeremy, Shannon, and Kyle; six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Logan, Danika, Annabeth, Delilah, and Camilla; two sisters, Patricia Rutledge and husband, Jack, and Darlene Shoup; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
It would have been a toss-up as to who enjoyed visits more, Grandpa Otto or the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, when they were able to visit each other. Otto adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they adored their grandpa. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2020, at Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri with Randy Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5-8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bethany Chapel Cemetery, Eminence, Missouri.
