Virginia Turley

Virginia May Turley, daughter of the late Roger and Beverly Adams, was born on July 12, 1960, in Athol, Massachusetts, and passed away on June 11, 2025, at her home in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of 64 years, 10 months, and 30 days.

Virginia spent her childhood in various states, a result of her father’s work. It was on a ranch, where her father was employed, that she discovered her love for horses and developed a passion for barrel racing.

At a young age, Virginia was united in marriage to Mike Brazeal. Their time together was blessed with the arrival of four children. However, as life often presents, their paths eventually diverged, culminating in a divorce. In 2001, she was united in Marriage to Paul “Kenny” Turley and two children were born to this union. This union also welcomed four “bonus” children.

Virginia had many passions, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, often over a game of cards. In her spare time, she was a talented baker whose delicious creations were enjoyed by all fortunate enough to try them. She also found pleasure in painting ceramics and never passed up a yard sale, always on the lookout for new additions to her cherished collections of dolls and Native American decor.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Beverly Adams, one son, Bud Brazeal, two sisters, Cindy Adams and June Brazeal.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Kenny Turley, four sons, Joseph Turley and his wife, Carmen, Jason Brazeal and his wife, Sarah, Travis Turley, and David Turley, five daughters, Edna Turley, Brenda Backus, Kim Evans and her husband, Darren, Ilena Proctor, and Paula Turley. Virginia is also survived by two brothers, Roger Adams and Scott Adams, one sister, April Adams, as well as several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. We celebrate her life and cherish the many memories made together.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home. Donations can be placed in the drop box outside of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home Mansfield or by Mail: 315 N. Main St. Mountain Grove, Missouri 65711.
