The Saint Louis Billikens picked up a milestone win Wednesday night, beating VCU 71–62 in Richmond. Kellen Thames posted a career-high 18 points and added 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. It’s SLU’s first-ever win at the Siegel Center and their best start since 1993–94. After VCU briefly took a late lead, Amari McCottry’s clutch three sparked a 10–0 closing run. The Billikens head to La Salle on Saturday.
