Houston, MO. – The Texas County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of one woman in relation to the stabbing of a man in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 28th.
The arrest was preceded by the investigation of a stab victim who was being transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. While the primary victim refused to talk about the event, one witness spoke up, who stated that the victim had been stabbed in the back by Heather Shelton at a residence near Highway 17.
In the probable cause statement, it says that law enforcement agents approached the residence and found Shelton mostly naked and bleeding from the head. The victim had to be air lifted after the event to Springfield due to the severity of their injuries, including a collapsed lung. Between the assault, and a history of previous assault charges, Shelton was arrested with charges including 1st Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
