Debra Jean Lawing, born on August 31, 1962, in West Plains, Missouri, to the proud parents JD and Jeannie Lawing, passed away on February 27, 2026, In West Plains, Missouri. Debra was raised in Caulfield, where she spent her entire life surrounded by family, friends, and community. She attended West Plains School and graduated as a proud Zizzer in 1980, a milestone she cherished deeply.
Debra’s faith was central to her life. She loved the Lord and found great joy in attending church and singing church songs, often filling her days with music that brought her peace and happiness. Her passions included enjoying good friends, solving puzzles, crocheting, sipping a good cup of coffee, and caring for her beloved cats. Blue was her favorite color, and it reflected her vibrant spirit.
Debra was dearly loved and will be missed forever by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father JD, her twin brother Donald, and her sister Kathy. She is survived by her mother, Jeannie; siblings Mark and wife Sherry Lawing and Richard Eric and wife Margaret Lawing; numerous nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends whose lives she touched.
