A 17-year-old Ava resident was injured in a crash on Golf Course Road, five miles west of Ava in Douglas County.
The crash occurred when the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

He was transported to Cox South in Springfield by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries.
